Hey all- Does the new 27” CD ship with a cable that will enable me to get the full 2560x1440 resolution out of the box? Or, do I need to buy an addl cable? I’ll be connecting it to a late 2009 model mini. Want to confirm before I order this thing- and have it arrive w/o everything I need.....

Thanks

Of course they ship with all cables you need. In fact, the cable is directly attached to the display, with no possibility to remove it.

Yes. According to Apple:
Peripherals and cables

Three self-powered USB 2.0 ports
Kensington security slot
One cable with three connectors: Mini DisplayPort with audio support, universal MagSafe (up to 85W), USB 2.0
AC power cord

and Everymac:
It includes three USB 2.0 ports and a convenient single cable with three connectors (Mini DisplayPort, MagSafe, and USB 2.0), a built-in iSight camera with a mic and a 2.1 speaker system.

Great thanks. I knew/assumed/hoped it came with a cable- just wasn't sure it would support the higher resolution. I recalled reading something a some point that indicated that you needed to bridge two ports or something to go over 1080- been a while though.

That was the case with DVI and 30" displays, meaning you needed a Dual Link DVI cable/adapter.
