Okay I found this Macbook that is broken that I want to buy but am not sure if some of the parts are good. He says the screen and hard drive are broken and that when he plugs it in the screen lights up but nothing shows up because the hard drive is bad. So I was wondering if thats all it realy is and not the motherboard also. I know you cant say for sure but I just need opinions.

Not sure I understood your description fully but here are some things that may help. Let me know if it's not what you need.

You could easily check if the screen is alright by booting from the CD/DVD that came with the mac (Install disks).

If everything is fine when booted from the optical disc it may just be the Hard drive that is broken, although it may still be the sata interface on the motherboard that is not functioning. If it's the interface that is broken replacing the drive will not resolve the issue.
