Hello all - I just downloaded and installed the latest security update a couple of days ago. Everything seems to be fine expcept for one small thing...not earth shattering, just made me curious.

Under my Desktop-View Options I have "Show Item Info" selected. Before the update my Hard drive icon would show the total size and space remaining. After the update it just shows the total size.

I've not installed anything else or changed any settings on my own since the security update...

Anyone else experience the same thing?

Thanks

okay - I'm apparently the only one that has experienced this...anyone know how to fix it.

To the contrary, every Mac user experiences this. MacOS X creates a lot of cache files. Download and install the freeware utility OnyX. It runs the cron maintenance tasks, deletes cache files, and numerous other nice things for your Mac.

Thanks

I had downloaded Onyx a couple of weeks ago, but hadn't used it yet - no need too.

After clearing caches, verifying permissions, and a reboot I'm good to go.

Thanks.
