I have a Black macbook (last gen) and I have been wondering whether this model is compatible with the intel ssd drive. Will I be able to install it just like any other HDD, or are there special instructions? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

You need a 2.5in SATA SSD drive if you would like SSD. Why you would like SSD, is up to you, but I personally feel the performance benefit is negligible compared to the cost and the reliability of some drives recently has been questionable. For my recommendation, well its in my sig.

Im not interested in a ssd drive at the monent, since my hdd is working great and the space offered by ssd is not enough for me. But in the future that will likely change and since my hdd is more than likely to fail in the near future, I would like to have the option to pick a ssd drive since they are more reliable.
