Quick Question(Airport base station)

Hi, I just read on the front page that if I connect my hard drive to my base station that it will work so I am wondering if I do that will my non wifi iMac still be able to access all the music from it?

Also, if I connect the hard drive to base station will my laptop be able to play all the music on the hdd?
