Quick question: Can I get cash back during an ApplePay purchase with my debit card?

I don't mean like the credit card offers of 1-5% 'cashback'... but I mean actual physical cash.

Normally when I go to a store and use my debit card I can get a certain cash back amount (say $40), can I do this if I add my debit card to my iPhone 'wallet' and use ApplePay?

Probably a basic question but google searches keep coming up with search results for credit card type 'cashback' offers linked to ApplePay. Thank you for your help

Yes you can. I do it when I go to the supermarket to save going to the machine.
