Quick question for Developers

I just signed up for the Developer program. I intend of course on installing the 3.0 beta on my iphone. However, at some time in the near future, I have to take my iphone to Apple because it has cracks by the silencer switch, so I hope to have it replaced. Will that be a problem or is the beta "attached" to this particular iPhone & this one only?
