I was looking at one in an apple store today am i'm sure they're smaller than the previous 08 i have. The guy in the shop was fairly sure they were the same size however.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

I pretty sure that they are the same size. I believe that Apple used the exact same case.

no way is it the same case, handles on top are different.

What? Are you on drugs? I have the 2009 MacPro sitting next to a 2004 Powermac and they are exactly the same... especially the handles. The only differences in the exterior is the layout of the ports on the front and back, the power plug being at the top instead of the bottom, 2 slots for the optical drive instead of 1, and instead of 2 medium sized openings for the fans on the back there is just 1 big one.

Care to explain why a 2004 and 2009 would be the same, yet the 2008 would have been completely redesigned (bigger and different handles than all 20 other models)?

wow seriously?

I guess so. I could have sworn they looked smaller. I guess as mine sits on the floor all day i haven't noticed. I just thought the one in the shop looked smaller in all 3 dimensions and the handles were closer to the body. I guess not.
