ok well, im going to sell my iphone 3G so i can buy the ipone 3G S. When i went on apple's site, it is charging me 400 for 16 and 500 for 32 gig iphone 3G S. It says that i am going to be elegible for an upgrade on july 24th. how much is the new iphone ganna be then? is it ganna be 200/300?

Once you are eligible for an upgrade, you are entitled to the subsidized price. So, if you wait until July 24th, you can get the normal subsidized rate for new and upgrading customers. So, yes, you are correct. Come July 24th, for you, the iPhone 3Gs will cost $200 for the 16GB model and $300 for the 32Gb model.
