Quick Question on Verizon Deposit

I wanted to know if anyone here started new service with Verizon using the Apple site to set it up? I entered my information to do a family plan, it asked for my info and SS and Drivers license. I clicked continue it said checking eligibility then went to a screen saying to setup a apt at the apple store to setup the family plan and pick up the phones. So does this mean I do not have to pay a deposit? Is this how it worked for those that tried doing the same thing?

I assume you will pay for the phones at the apple store.
