Quick question re: Lion what should be included

With a new Macbook Pro, should iWork & Pages be included? I thought they were, & I thought the Apple store had said it was included. But when I go to open the Pages icon it gives me the page to purchase iWork (or a 30-day trial after which it must be purchased).
What am I missing?

Nope, iWork isn't included with new Macs. iLife is though.
