Quick question regarding free iPod Touch with MBP purchase...

Hey guys, quick question if anyone can answer.

For the free iPod Touch, is it always a mail-in rebate whether you buy online or instore? I think I remember reading that they skip the mail-in rebate and just give it to you free if you go into the store, but I might be wrong.
