Just bought an iPad 2.....had to drive an hour to get it. I'm hoping it's on 4.3.3. Now, I opened the box.....I have to connect to iTunes. Correct me if I'm wrong but if it comes with 4.3.5......I shouldn't have to connect to iTunes correct? It should just turn on to the os? Anybody with knowledge about this would be greatly appreciated.

I believe connecting to iTunes has to occur at least once after purchase.

the ipad needs to be activated; wireless activation won't be available until ios 5. you need to connect to itunes via tethering using a computer.

be careful that you don't upgrade the firmware when you are in itunes if you want to remain on 4.3.3
