Aren't they released at the same time everywhere?

Apple products get released as and when they are deemed ready by Apple, and the UK and the US release dates of products are very close together.

if not identical....

Basically standard computer stuff, it's available same day

Stuff that needs communications approval, i.e iPad iPhone etc they are staggered release dates, due to testing and also to ensure adequate global supply.
