Quick Question - Wiping 3G on 3.1.2

My friend wants to sell her phone, jailbroken & unlocked as it currently is, but we need to wipe the data on it. I'm still a tad confused on what firmware can be restore or whatnot so I just need a clarification if we can still restore 3.1.2 and maintain the BB as well.

Yes, you can restore 3.1.2 on the 3G (no problems) and you still have the baseband 5.11.07. Just download a 3G 3.1.2 ipsw from iclarfied.com, then you're good to go.
