Quick question: would an old power extension cable work with 2020 MBP?

Pretty much the title. Just upgraded my early-2011 13' for a 2020 one and was wondering if I could use my old power extension cable. The list of compatible models for the cable they sell now only goes back to 2012, so I'm not sure if it's okay.

I wish there was an adapter that would take my Apple 85W magsafe power supply (that I've had since my 2008 MBP) that I use as a bench supply and allow it to charge a USB-C laptop. Ah, well.
