how do i remove some items from my 'software update' selection? I have some items that i don't want install (like an update for ichat, which i have already completely uninstalled from my macbook, and a particular iphoto update which i dont need)

so yeah...how do i go about removing them from my selection?

thanks for the help and sorry for the noob question :D

In the "Update" menu of Software Update, there should be an item called "Ignore Update...".

I think just hitting the delete key accomplishes the same function.

Once you do this, will they ever reappear in the update window, or is the update gone for good?
