Quick questions before I JB/UL 3G/iOS4

I upgraded to iOS 4.0 on my iPhone 3G and want to JB/UL to use overseas. I have two questions:

1). On the jailbreakmatrix site, I see that the baseband for 3G is listed as 05.13.03. However, my iPhone shows Modem Firmware as 05.13.04, would this be a problem?

2). I've consulted the iClarified site for the proper JB/UL procedure using a Mac. Since I have already upgraded to iOS 4.0, can I simply download RedSn0w to jailbreak and use Cydia and UltraSn0w to unlock without downloading iPhone1,2_4.0_8A293_Restore.ipsw?
