i have a few apps with quick rely enabled, but Skype is the only one I regularly get messages on.

there is a problem with it and I don't know how widely it extends

you only get the first n (around 60 I think) characters of a message. therefore for 'long' messages the quick reply is useless.

yes. I know if it's a long message it may be worth going into the app properly. but messages allows very long texts to be read when you pull down

also, the character limit isn't very long. so even fairly brief messages can get cut off.

is this an issue for all apps or just Skype?

I know there is a limit to the amount app providers can put in push notifications. is a very restrictive limit still in place even for quick reply apps? that seems like a real shame.

perhaps people who use other quick reply apps can tell me how they behave. thanks
