I've been mroogling mad and searching around about the whole trim and OSX.

I know osx doesn't currently support trim but does the garbage collect/self trim (particularly in OCZ drives) still work in OSX even though OSX doesnt support trim?

Sorry if thats a stupid question but im having a hard time finding an answer to that... thanks!

No idea about OCZ, but the Intel SSDs do start "to collect garbage" on OS X after a certain amount of time being idle. I usually leave my MBP turned on over night so it should have plenty of time to clean up the SSD.

OCZ does.

I did not know that about intel. Is it on any specific drives?
