I'm having a bit of a time with this, setting up a new iPad from an existing mini.

I have a lot of data, over 90 Gb, and I suspect Quick Start was not a good choice. It's been about 5 or 6 hours now, and my screens are still at "take a few minutes to activate" for the iPad and the pinwheeling "devices close together" screen on the old mini. I guess I'm second guessing the tech I chatted with.
Have any of you used Quick Start, and what was your experience with it? What screens did you see, how much data did you have, how long did it take?
FWIW, I am wishing I had just used backups and restoring backups from iTunes on my Windows laptop.
