That's a G5 PowerPC based iMac not Intel based. Won't run anything current. Stay away.

Cheers,

Thanks Panzer. Looking for something to act as a download only unit. Bit expensive though by all accounts!

That's a fair price, but that model has issues with power supplies and bulging caps on the logic board.

I don't know. In the US I don't know too many people will to pay $500+ for a G5 iMac. Perhaps prices are significantly higher in the UK. Regardless, its a pretty old machine. I wouldn't pay anything for such a machine.

Cheers,

Nor would I. Add a couple of hundred more and get a Mac Mini that will run rings around the G5.

yea, I know... Mouse, key board and monitor... already have a few laying around.

But as you can see, I've still got a couple of eMacs rocking just fine.

Managed to get her down to £200 but then had difficulty collecting so passed on it.

The UK is much more expensive :)

keep looking.

you should be able to find an intel imac in the same price range.

you ask about Snow Leopard. Any Intel should be able to run it.

For Lion you need a Core 2 Duo and 2 GB of RAM.

Good luck.

for the UK its quiet low priced for a G5 iMac some still try to get over £300 in working condition
and as a download machine perfectly fine ,
