Hey guys, I had to download a few things (Quite a few Hindi albums that I can't purchase anywhere) from a bit torrent site and I wanted to confirm something. I am correct when I say the only way I could get a virus (making an assumption that there are Mac viruses) on my Mac is if I enter my password into the system when prompted for by an application or anything that requires a password. So since I will be downloading only music (maybe a few movies) is it safe to say that my mac is safe because playing music does not require any password? Is there anything that could harm my mac if I download a few mp3s and play them?

There aren't.

What you describe here is a trojan, not a virus.

Yes, that part is correct.
