THE BLACK LOOKS GOOD

I have the Speck Satin case and it's a really nice case. It has a soft rubber feel on the outside, which encases a hard plastic shell. It fits very solidly, and is designed very well. The only downsides are it adds noticeable weight to the system, it kills the sleekness of the MBP, and the back hooks have left very, very faint impressions on the aluminum.

Other then that, my MBP is protected for my upcoming trip, and when the Apple glows behind the black it looks like the Bat-Mac! :apple:

all of the speck cases that i have used either scratched my computer or fallen apart. the shoulder strap just broke off of one luckily i was able to catch it before it fell to the ground.

If the Speck case is a hard, form fitting case, then yes, it will scratch the computer by trapping dust against the surface.

yeah i've seen some minor micro scratches, but i'll keep it clean to avoid it as much as possible. i see the micro scratches as a trade off for avoiding a major scratch or dent.

to each his own...
