Quick Wireless Networking Question

A friend of mine is getting a Mac Mini, with an Airport Extreme card, and rather than spending $200 on a AE Base Station, he was going to get a D-Link Router. Would this work? An Airport Extreme Card with a D-Link Router?

Yep, it would work fine.

Yes, it would work with any 802.11g compatible router. I have a Linksys WRT and it works flawlessly.

Gotcha, thanks. Now I'm trying to convince him to take the airport card out of the Mac and have it connected to the router on a wire, and rather have his mother's PC connected wirelessly to the router.

PCI Wireless Card = Cheaper than Airport Extreme Card.

I use a d-link di-624 and an airport extreme card, and a linksys xbox adapter. They don't matter basically its based on the type of signal 802.11 b or g. But the great thing about airport express cards are they work great. Enjoy the mini
