I recently converted from pc quicken to Mac Quicken.

The data conversion went well.

However, the UI conversion for me has not gone well. So many things are different and I have made a couple of mistakes that took a long time to correct.
Well, in keeping with today's trends of putting the manual on the disc, I dont have an easy to read user manual.

I tried to print the user guide but it is an amazing 477 pages! Since they put the manual online, it seems they feel free to fill it with a hugh amount of fluff.
My next idea, is to try to pair this down to maybe 50-70 important pages of info.

Any other ideas?

Like you I miss prowling around in a paper user's guide, but the Quicken Help and the Quicken User Guide both start up quickly and the indices are good. One could print to the desktop and read at leisure without the program open, or buy one of the Quicken help books, perhaps used, from many sources.

Talk about fluff in the user's manual--there is plenty of that in the program, too.

Good luck.
