I network between my MBP and iMac and somehow when I choose Go > Network and select my iMac on the left side under shared label, it never connects even when I click the Connect As button. I can however go > Connect to Server, select the iMac from the far right button/drop-down and click Connect at the bottom and this works.

1. How do I reset the settings for connecting to the iMac so it always works when I select it on the left side under Network window?
2. Is there a quicker way I can setup for selecting the iMac? Like a shortcut that just stays on my desktop?

Thanks.

Using the Go Network route is like using "Shift Command K," but have you tried the key combination "Command K"?
The first time you do that, type in the network address of the target computer - it will be something like "smb://192.168.3.6" (Look in the Network System Preference Pane on the target computer for that info).
From the second time you only have to hit Command K, then the Enter key.
That is a lot faster than the Go menu route.
