quickest/most seamless way to switch to vzw?

We want to bring my mother in law into our family plan (she's on at&t right now). Is it best to buy her new phone in the Verizon store vs. Apple store, and let them do the port right then and there? Assuming once the number is ringing through we can go ahead and cancel at&t?

Verizon store would be the quickest/ easiest

Verizon store. You will not need to cancel AT&T as the porting out cancels the number. Att will send a final statement.

Yep, go to the Verizon store. I helped my boyfriend's mom switch from Sprint to Verizon prepaid, and we went to the store. Should be easy enough, just make sure you have all over her AT&T account info with you.
