order one. that's the usually the quickest way for me. and if I personally were ordering a brand new gadget from a company who can't seem to keep the units on the shelf - I'd probably order direct from them
Two options
1) Go stand in a queue at your nearest Apple Store and potentially waste a lot of time standing around for something that's not in stock
2) Order it over the interweb, wait 4 weeks and learn patience
I'd take Option 2. It's only an iPad. It won't get you laid.
