Here's what's going on in my head while I was playing today:

Quicklook has very limited support right now. Word and Excel, PDF and Quicktime play very nicely, but it doesn't work at all with Final Draft or some other files. This is because developers haven't written the plugin for Quicklook yet.

iPhone runs OS X. It also has CoreAnimation, and I'm willing to bet that it also runs Quicklook. It supports Word and Excel, PDF, VCF, MP3, MP4 among some others, and I think that as soon as developers release Quicklook plugins for Leopard, we'll see Apple initiate a program that will add those to iPhone as well, allowing for a much greater compatibility amongst files that can be emailed.

Also, just FYI, iPhone plays nice with vCards that are emailed to you. You can browse through the contacts, add them to your contacts or just phone them from there. It's quite a good feature.

Anyone else agree? Is this old news?
