QuickLook into Folders plugin: Great functionality but how to tell if trustworthy?

I just learned of a great plugin for Finder that will allow you to use QuickLook to also look into the contents of a folder: http://revision3.com/tzdaily/2010-03-17quicklookfolder

When you open the zip file for the program, there is a link inside to the developer's site: http://homepage.mac.com/xdd/software/folder/

Besides the fact that a major site recommends the plugin, is there any way to be sure this program is safe to use, as I don't see it on sites like Softpedia which run virus/malware scans on all programs they host.
