QuickLook- what does the PLUS sign do ???

I know this is a dumb question but I have searched macrumors and used google and CANNOT find the answer.

What does the "plus sign" at the top of every quick look window do???? Clicking it seems to do nothing when I try.

Try resizing the window, then clicking the 'plus' sign. What it does, apparently, is it resizes the window to it's original size.

Wow-- I would never have figured that out! Thanks for the quick response.

Do people think that really is a necessary feature?
