Quickly Add New Notes - Keyboard Shortcut?

Is there any way on Mac OS to create a shortcut that would quickly take us to a new note in the Notes App even when we currently aren't in the Notes App? Sometimes I need to quickly jot something down and it would be great to have a quick way of just launching a new note and keeping it in an Inbox folder in the Notes app.

Any ideas/suggestions would be great.
