Is there any app that lets me quickly switch between wether I want my F1-etc keys to function as regular function keys or as media keys? Cause it's kind of annoying to go into the system preferences all the time. A menubar item would be nice...

Quickly toggle between function keys and media keys?

System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts.
Scroll to the bottom and add your Application. Then you can assign the keys you want to the application.
