QuickOffice Connect looks much nicer than Docs 2 Go on the iPad and scrolls smoothly.

As usual, they slice off all footnotes/endnotes in Word docs (students and businesses should use Docs 2 Go for that important feature). And as with Docs 2 Go, the arrow keys on the BT keyboard don't work (though they do work in a dozen other notepad apps in the appstore).

Still, the suite seems to perform well and it looks a lot prettier than its main 3rd party competitors.

Can't wait to test this out. The Dropbox integration I have been waiting for, now if iWork jumps on board and allows syncing to 3rd party servers, I'll have no problem switching back, unless, of course, this blows Pages/Numbers/Keynote out of the water.

I only plan on using for Word.

I've just realized: there's NO SEARCH FUNCTION. I can't search in a text.

WTF?

Unlike Docs to Go of the iPad, QuickOffice is requiring existing iPhone users to buy it again for the iPad. Docs to Go took the universal app route, which means it is a free update for previous customers. I like that, although I can understand the business reason for charging again for a different device.

I don't suppose quickoffice has track changes?

It has the document editing features than you'll find in most notepad apps already on sale, and little more. They must have rushed it out as soon as D2G became available:

Bold, italics, underline, highlight, align paragraphs, change text color and font.

Those are editing tools. I'm assuming based on your answer that it does nto track changes. IE - if I work on a document that someone else wrote and make changes, it will indicate the changes like WORD does.

No, it only has these basic features. There is no more.

I can't comment on Excel because I never use it.

I feel cheated, such rubbish

I posted a lengthy review on iTunes, they better keep working on it...it feels very rushed.

Pages to dropbox convoluted method it is...until they get it together

I think some of the glowing reviews in the American app store are fake.

The one thing about DTG that drives me nuts is how it's flush to the margins of each side.

One thing about QuickOffice I like is drag-n-drop to cloud services.

I'm also noticing that QuickOffice only does bulleted lists?

I've just noticed I can't paste images into it, either! Images become file names, or roots if from the internet. The same thing happens in Docs to Go.

Can someone who has it tell me if you can create .txt files and create new folders in SugarSync or Dropbox? Thanks.
