Quicksilver and Clipboard

I'm having difficulty with quicksilver and clipboard. I wanted to be able to view my clipboard and add items to my shelf. I open up "show contents of shelf and clipboard catalog" and it always shows up blank. Nothing stays.

Or could I activate the clipboard without having to open up quicksilver first then clipboard (cmd - L). Like a trigger straight to clipboard?
