It is my understanding that Apple changed their power supply setup from the Quicksilver to the MDD (Mirrored Drive Door) machines. The MDD uses a flat server like design whereas the Quicksilver still uses the ATX type. I was wondering if a Gigabit power supply would work in a quicksilver? I have an adaptor to add the 4-pin 12-volt connector. I just need to make sure that the other pin outs are the same. I've seen mentioned that the quicksilver uses 25 volts instead of 28 volt source for the ADC connector and the pin out is slightly different. Can anyone confirm this or provide some links to pin outs or specifications to the Quicksilver?

Thanks,
A.J.

I would try to stick to parts that came from that type of Mac. Changing power supplies like that could fry something because it would be putting out to much power. I could look it up in the manuals but I would say, look for the part first (ebay or other places), then try a possible modification.
