Quicksilver Powermac- flashed geforce 6200 on eBay, legit?

Sorry for the second thread tonight guys.

I know that this card was never made for the macintosh, and that anything we see is flashed. There is someone on eBay (applemacanix) selling flashed geforce 6200's.

Is this legit? He has almost 7500 positive feebacks and a pretty good feedback percentage. Is this too much for the card? I offered him less through the 'make an offer' button, but we'll see I guess.

Also, is this card a good upgrade from my stock geForce MX 32mb card? I really want to utilize core image and smooth things out a bit.

I used one in my old G4. I think I bought it from them too. It was expensive but it was a quick fix.

I have an old 9800 sitting in my closet if you would rather use that.

YES the 9800 supports both CI & QE......same card I have in my QS, neveranottaproblemo

And YES, that 6200 would be a GARGANTUAN upgrade from the stock MX......

And yes, it is a flashed peecee card, but so is my 9800, which is still goin strong after almost 4 years....

The 6200 is an ideal card for a Cube. Not only does it run nice and cool, it has a temp diode built in. (bit of a nuisance at boot, after that you are glad)

For any of the other G4 desktops, you are better off with a 9800 Radeon. The Radeon is MUCH faster.

The 6200 is your best option if you prefer fanless -- yes it's flashed. I had one and it won't come close to the R9800 in performance, but it runs cool and quiet.
