Hey guys, I have never posted on the forum before, but I promise, I have scoured the web for solutions prior to posting here!

My issue is with Quicktime 7.7.1 Internet Plug-In not working at all in Safari, and working very poorly in other alternative web browsers. I am trying to view media from an online calculus class. The recommended Quicktime settings are published here:

In my system there is no preference pane option for Quicktime. In the Quicktime 7 application itself there are no settings like what this article refers to. I was hoping somebody here might be able to help me figure out how to get quicktime working properly?

I have a late 2010 MacBook Pro, updated to Mountain Lion, Safari 6, Quicktime 7.7.1, and Quicktime X. I have all of the latest Java and Flash plug-ins installed, and Quicktime 7.7.1 does show up in my installed plug-ins in Safari.

I have tried with several other browsers, with Camino being the only one that can even load the video. But the audio and video constantly clip, making it unintelligible.

I tried restoring my computer back to Snow Leopard 10.6.4, then 10.6.8, and it still didn't work (just loaded to a black screen there). I am not sure what else to try, but I'm out of ideas and I appreciate any help you guys can offer!!
