Hi all,

This problem started happening to today only actually, I'm rewatching episodes of a show I watched last month on the same laptop using the same player (VLC), but today for some reason they keep freezing anywhere between .5-1 seconds every 2 or 3 minutes.

The only thing i've tried is restarted, I thought i wouldnt do anything drastic since i'm going to pick up snow leopard tomorrow.

anyone have any ideas as to whats causing the freezing?
thanks

I'd take a look at the logs for VLC and see if there's anything about playback issues.

In addition I'd use the preference clearing script that VLC offers in their disk image installer.

Finally I'd take a look at Activity Monitor with All Processes shown during video playback.

i'd also look at file integrity... can the file(s) play on other machines smoothly?

Personally, i'd just chill till you get SL and do a flashbang install, and only import what you really use to prevent recurrences

Good Luck!

How exactly do I check the logs for VLC, do you mean go into Console?
