Hi, a few avi videos seem to play back out of sync in quicktime and i don't know why. When i play them in VLC they are much better but still very slightly out. I am running an core 2 duo imac.

Any help would be great
Cheers

When watching, go to Window->Show AV Controls, then change the jog shuffle. I'm not sure about this, but I guess that if you then go File->Save, the video stays like this :)

VLC to iTunes

Thank you so much for the info... this has been driving me nuts.:apple:

Thanks, however, now I can watch it just fine on VLC on the computer, but would like to send it to iTunes to watch on :apple:TV. I tried the "save playlist" but the audio and video are still off.......any suggestions?

Any idea would be greatly appreciated. VLC works just fine with AVIs and FLVs but Quicktime for some peculiar reason throws a wrench in the works.

When playing in QuickTime, Get Info, and note the "format" and Data Rate. Could be an odd codec or very low data rate. Try exporting from QuickTime Pro, Any Video Converter, Prism, or Handbrake using MPEG-4/H.264 codec and 1500 bit rate (if it is very low).

I would like to add to this. I'm running Mountain Lion and Quick Time Player plays my ProRes 422 HQ exports out of audio sync. I really dislike that and it is super unprofessional. VLC player plays the same file with the audio in sync but QT is off by several frames! Less than a second to be sure but it is noticeable.
