At some point between yesterday and today, the audio on my Quicktime audio just stopped working. I only have various .avi to test this out on. When I open the .avi file with mplayer of VLC, I get full audio, but it is muted for some reason on Quicktime.

I'm not sure what else I can do other than verify that the volume meter is definitely on and maxed on on Quicktime. Anybody know what could be causing this? I'm running OSX.

Can anyone offer any insight?

Since my last post, I updated QuickTime and restarted my computer. Of course, those things did not change the issue. I've researched online, but have not been able to find anything out there... Any ideas?

Exact same problem!

I have add the exact problem for some time and I have no idea what went wrong. I love my mac and this is the only problem I've encountered since buying it.
