Hello all. This is my current dilemma. I am trying to figure out Premiere for my movie that I'm going to make. I haven't had time to really do it yet, so I decided that I would make a music video of sorts with dvd footage. I figure that it is the best way to learn since I can't get film footage yet. Anyway, I ripped the footage and converted it to Quicktime format and imported it. everything is good until then. All the preview windows, and stuff like that play it back at regular speed. When I go to drag it onto the timeline, it decides to die on me. The music that I used works at regular speed, but the footage doesn't start until about a third of the way into the length of the clip. When that happens, the clip plays at about 1,000,000,000x its normal speed. This happens even after I render the stupid thing. I figure that it may be a problem with the clip, so I try in iMovie, but now it actually works as it's supposed to. What I would like to know is what may be causing this weirdness, and how I may be able to overcome this difficulty.

Thanks,

TC
