I have a bunch of DVDs that are actually TV shows recorded on to VHS that I converted to digital and then were then burned to DVD. I then used Handbrake to rip them to my Mac. I decided to use the default Apple TV settings for the encoding. However, each time I play the file in Quicktime it crashes but when I play it in VLC, it works fine.
Can anyone give me an idea as to why this is? The first file that I ripped ended up being around 2GB while the other is over 4. I know that Quicktime does not like files over 4 so I know why that one wont work but shouldnt the other one work? Or does quicktime simply not like anything of this size?
