Quicktime: Display image instead of black screen?

I have the Quicktime player embedded in a web page with an introductory MOV to play when the player's start control is clicked. The player's screen is black (until the start control is clicked and the movie begins). Is there a way to have an image, such as a family photo, etc. displayed instead of the black screen?

And if that is possible, can the image be clickable to start the movie, in addition to the player's start control?
