I live in Russia and most dvd come with multi language tracks, so I prefer to watch the movies in english but my quicktime, doesn't change the language.

My friends quicktime changes everything without a problem, it's my one that has this problem.

I tried reinstallin it and etc, nothing helped.

Does anyone know how can this problem be fixed?

Are you attempting to play the same DVD as your friend?

Yes, I know about the view-language option.

It's exactly what I'm trying to do, but it has no effect.

1. does the movie your trying to play, have alternative soundtracks?

2. What version of Quicktime are you using?

Few movies that I have, have multi language choices.

1.It has 2 soundtracks 1.for russian 2.for english

2.7.6.4

3.My friend doesn't have that problem, could there be some sort of glitch in my quicktime?

I just downloaded VLC and everything works fine, but I want to use quicktime looks like I'll just get a copy os Snowleopard(wanted to install it anyway) and do a clean install.

Na,it's a multi channel recorded dvd, so I cant access the language menu.

Is Quicktimw x better than 7?

To me, Quicktime X is better, but works only with snow leopard. It's still free, unless you go with the pro version

Is the DVD you have, a home made one? Non-retail?
