This topic must've been talked over a billion times and yet years and years and years after it still seems not to be fixed by Apple.

Why o why does quicktime still make the clips brighter and shift it's original gamma?

I can't believe that such a player/ format that supposed to be for professional use too is doing this and they still haven't fixed it and neither with Qt-X.

Any ideas?

after grading clips on a calibrated broadcast display, my QT exports have always looked correct. I don't get a gamma shift when viewing on my dell 30" that was calibrated by a spyder2.
