This is embarrassing, not only is it ugly, it also stutters into life in a cumbersome fashion.

I imagine this will be culled with Quicktime X Player. What makes me laugh is Apple has a suitable replacement in their website which they could easily modify for use.

You do realize that you can turn that off in quicktime player preferences, right? It's not like you're forced to view it every time you open Quicktime.
 
I'd quite the idea of the guide, but currently the implementation is not so nice.

I think Apple is missing a trick for users who won't bother to turn it off.
