When I tried to watch the keynote today, there was video but no sound.

Anyone had this or something similar happen to them? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I did try reinstalling Quicktime and starting Garageband to reset things, but nothing.

*edit* I had looked at and deleted all my text file preferences, but seem to have missed this gem, which decided to identify itself to the system as an executable.

I'm having the same problem, and yes I do not have Mac OSX on mute. Even the A/V control window in Quicktime pro gives sound as grayed out.

Look in

Your username > Library > Preferences

for a Unix executable file which is called Quicktime Preferences, and delete it. You might have to re-enter your pro registration information, so back that up first.
