Quicktime In Safari Frame Advance

I am stumped.

I am playing an mp4 in Safari and want to advance the video frame by frame. I can't figure out how to do it. In Windows using Quicktime all I have to do is pause the video and press the arrow keys left or right to advance to the next frame. This will not work with my mac though. Is there a way to turn this option on?

I am using Safari 4.0.3 and quicktime 10.0.
